Three Nothings (2017)

     Three Nothings tells the tale of nothing and everything through a combination of words, sounds, and eccentric styles. The text is taken from three of Christian Morgenstern’s poems (translated by Max Knight) included in his Galgenlieder, which means “The Gallows Songs.” Morgenstern’s absurd and beautiful stories serve as the inspiration for the musical content and overall tone of the work.

This recording features loadbang, and was performed during the 2017 Charlotte New Music Festival.
